Gary Roth
I work at the intersection of how things are and how they could be.
I'm a trained scientist, and I lean analytic — I care about evidence, mechanisms, and the difference between the model and the real. But at heart, I am a strategist: I spend most of my time thinking about how technology reshapes what's possible, how institutions change, and how people and societies actually function versus how we imagine they do.
I'm drawn to big questions about who we are, what we want, how we got here, and where we are going. To me, the last is the most crucial: what does a good future look like, and what would it actually take to get there?
These are not questions anyone can answer alone. If you want to explore these or other questions together, I'd like to hear from you.
